Ingredients
30g/1oz melted butter
3-4 sheets filo pastry
3 eggs
splash of cream
salt and freshly ground black pepper
½ onion, peeled and chopped
30g/1oz Caerphilly cheese
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 220C/425/Gas 7.
2. Brush a flan dish with melted butter. Brush the filo pastry sheets with the
butter and layer into the flan dish so the sides overlap.
3. Bake in the oven for 4-5 minutes, until crisp.
4. Whisk the eggs, cream and seasoning in a bowl.
5. Remove the pastry from the oven and sprinkle the base with the onion and
cheese. Pour the egg mixture over and return to the oven for 6-8 minutes or
until golden brown and the tart has set.
6. Serve immediately. |
