Ingredients
200g/7oz plain flour
110g/4oz butter
85g/3oz caster sugar
1 egg, white only
chocolate pieces/chocolate buttons - small bag
Method
1. Preheat oven to 150C/300F/Gas 2.
2. Lightly grease a baking sheet, or use a sheet of greaseproof paper.
4. Beat the butter and sugar together until pale, add sifted flour, then with
your hands form a dough.
5. On a board, lightly dusted with flour, roll out the dough.
6. Using a heart-shaped cutter, cut out the hearts and brush rim with egg-white.
7. Put a chocolate piece in the middle and another dough heart on top, press the
edges together lightly to seal. To decorate, you could put a chocolate button on
top of each heart biscuit, too.
8. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes. |
